I turn 26 on Wednesday. I have been dreading this day for the past couple of months. I am getting old. 26 just seems so old to me! I can't be 26. High School still doesn't seem that far away and now my life is just speeding up faster and faster every year. I am getting old. My once perfect tight size 0 body now shows the signs of having given birth to 4 kids and not to mention having nursed every single one of them. (Nursing does it own special magic on your boobs) I look in the mirror and see WRINKLES underneath my eyes. They ARE there and I see them. 26 is old. I'm no longer going to be in my early twenties but in my late twenties, which is just another way to say "almost 30". Reese will be 7 on Friday. I am going to have a 7 year old! It scares me that she is growing up so fast, it scares me that I did grow up.

Yes, I have an addiction. It's called "Antiques" I love Antiques! I spend way to much time at anitque stores and spend way to much money on them. And yes I do bring all of my kids with me. This little baby here is my latest purchase. I bought it today from an Antique Store and paid only $13 dollars for it. So after doing some research on this, I found that it was made in 1868 and worth a whole lot more than $13!!!!!!! It is a CFH (Charles Field Haviland). Isn't that cool! I love my addiction!

My awesome week...

This week has been "awesome"...



On Wednesday my house caught on fire. Well not really, we had a chimney fire and the fire department showed up so that was nice. Now we don't have any heat in the back part of the house ( the kitchen and the family room)... (the furnaces are connected to the chimney...) So now we are waiting for someone to come and take a look at it so we can use it again. But it is cold in the kitchen and the computer is in the kitchen and I am cold right now...

And then Thursday night my darling first born threw a shoe at a window that was about 100 yrs old and BROKE IT! Brian and I just started laughing! Of course she broke the window!! So far the past months have been HORRIBLE!!! (not for me for Brian, work stuff) And all we can do now is just laugh!

Hayden 10 1/2 Months

I can't believe that my little baby is 10 1/2 months old. She has gotten so big so fast! It kind of makes me a little sad that she is growing up. Right now Hayden weighs just about 19lbs, she's a little skinny but she is in the 90% in height (she must get that from me because I am so tall and skinny...) She can stand up without any help, when she wants too and is TALKING! I'm sure that she will be walking really soon! I can't get over how HAPPY she is! When she was born she was not a happy baby at all... but now she just sits there and giggles to herself! It's so funny!!! She also loves to sing and dance to music. I love this little girl!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving! My In-Laws came down from MI and the kids loved having them here! The food was awesome of course, because I made it. Really, everything turned out great! We had 2 turkeys, why? WHY NOT?! I cooked one in the oven and Brian smoked the other one. I don't really have alot of pictures, well because I was busy eating...

Sick Update....

It's been 24 hours since anyone has thrown up! My fingers are crossed for the rest of the day...
Reese has lost 5 lbs since she has been sick. For those of you that know her, she didn't have 5 lbs to loose! Now she weighs 43 lbs. Ashlee has lost 4 lbs, and now weighs 34 lbs! Kailyn didn't loose any weight and only threw up 1 time! Hayden's still sick, she's not throwing up anymore but now she has a nasty cough. She now weighs about 18.5 lbs, she lost 1.5 lbs! Poor baby needs to put some weight back on!

I was sick last Monday and I didn't loose any weight...

So that's our sick update.

Sick Sick Sick

After a week of throw up and poop all over me, my body finally shut down and decided that I was going to get sick too. This past week has been HORRIBLE! First Reese had Strep and then she and Kailyn had "intestinal" issues and now Ash is throwing up all over the place. My favorite is when she barfs in her sleep in bed. When is this going to end?!

Kailyn's 3!

Yesterday was Kailyn's 3rd birthday!!! Kailyn is such a funny little girl! She has SO much personality! Nini really is the MOST stubborn child I have every had to deal with, but really is the cutest 3 yr old ever!

We just had a family birthday and she had so much fun! She loved all of her presents and loved her cake! Oh my gosh, her cake was AMAZING! I made it (of course). Kailyn loves candy so I decided to make a Reese's Cup cake. It was made out of Devils Food cake mix and I layered the middle layer with milk chocolate icing and then I made Marshmallow frosting (from scratch) and whipped in some peanut butter. I know I am so awesome....

For her pictures I just followed her around the house and told her to strike a pose and say cheese...

It's Not Fall!

So far this Fall season has been a dreary, cold and pretty much raining everyday kinda Fall. So I am kinda disappointed with Mother Nature. She really is ruining my favorite season! I love fall because it is pretty. But right now it's cold. It's flu season, and did I mention that it's cold?! I really don't like that it's only the middle of October and I have already had to turn my heat on. Bring on the $1000 heat bills. So since it's cold now, whats the Winter going to be like?! I don't like the cold, it hurts my back and makes my house cold. I don't mind the cold if it is snowing, but here in Evansville IN (armpit of the US) it doesn't snow. It rains and it's cold. And right now it's cold so in my mind we didn't have a Fall, we just went straight to Winter.

So Happy Winter.

Evansville 1/2 Marathon

So yesterday I ran the Evansville 1/2 Marathon. I think that I did pretty well, considering that I really haven't trained in about a month. I feel great right now, my only issue that I have is the giant bulging blister on the bottom of my right foot. I also decided that I am going to run another 1/2 marathon (or a whole marathon) in April... I know I am crazy...

Ozzy!

We got a dog!!! His name is Ozzy , he is 12 weeks old and is a Jack Russell/Fox/Rat Terrier Mix! We LOVE him!! And I personally think that he is super cute! We brought him home Friday night, and so far he has been great!

No Bake Cookies

My all time favorite cookies...

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

1/4 butter

1/3 cup cocoa

3 cups oats

1/2 cup flaked or shredded coconut - opt

1/2 cup peanut butter

1 tsp vanilla

Combine sugar, milk, butter and cocoa in a large pot. Bring to a boil - cook for about 1 minute.

Remove from heat, mix with the rest of the ingredients. Drop mixture with large spoon on to wax paper. Let it cool and harden. EAT!!!

Hello, Poison Control....

See this little girl? She's cute isn't she? Well once again we've had to call poison control on her again. This child really drives me crazy! This is what happened:

I just finished cleaning off the Kitchen table (really I did, I was throwing the junk in the trash). Kailyn takes the bottle of Clorox and sucks on the tip and sprays it in her mouth. Awesome. So she starts gagging and spitting. Brian grabs her and makes her drink some water and I call poison control. No big deal.

So far we have called poison control on this kid for about 12 - 13 times and she is almost 3.

It Died...

My Garbage Disposal is dead. And I'm pretty sure it is entirely my fault, I fed it to much. So now I don't have a disposal right now and it is really making my life difficult!

I hate old houses....

My Big Toe...

My poor big toe. It's seen better days. It all started Saturday...

I ran 9 miles on Saturday, after the run I noticed that my big toe was a little bruised. No big deal. My fault because I wore the wrong socks. Anyways, on Monday I was walking thru the living room and kicked a pile of blankets out of the way and ended up kicking a big pile of toys. My children think that putting things in a pile and covering it with a blanket it is how to clean the living room. I said a few nicely chosen words and threw the toys in the trash. They're not my toys, I don't care if they go in the trash. And obviously they didn't want them either because they left them on the floor. So whatever healing my big toe was doing was gone. Then on Tuesday morning before I had to take Ash to school, I was standing at the counter talking to Brian and all of a sudden Hayden (who is in her walker) sprints to me from across the kitchen and RIPS OFF MY TOENAIL!!!! It's gone, all of it and it is really gross! It hurts! It is seriously a bloody mess! I ended up going to the doctor because it was "leaking". It was starting to get infected so know I am on some antibiotics and some nice pain pills. My toe has to stay wrapped up for the next couple of weeks and it hurts it walk. While I was at the Doctors, I asked him how long till I will be able to run again. He just starts LAUGHING at me and telling me that I won't be doing any running for a LONG TIME!!!! Awesome. I am supposed to be running the half marathon in a month. So know I don't know what I am going to be doing about the run. I hope that I will be able too, but it doesn't really look like it going to happen right now...

Reese finally lost her front tooth! That stupid tooth has been just hanging there for the past week. I got so sick of watching her tongue it to death, so I pinned her down and pulled it out.

My friend Adrienne makes these super cute crocheted hats and she taught me how! This is my first hat. It was SO easy! I plan making hats for everyone now...

Ash's 1st day of School

Yesterday was Ashlee's first day of PreK. She is really excited about going back to school, she loves it!

I'm going back to school! I am really excited about it too! My goal is to become a Nurse Anesthetist, but I have to get my RN first! Yes, I know that I am completely crazy for wanting to go back to school, but this is something that I am really interested in doing. So wish me luck!

So, I got a little bored and made these shirts for the girls.

First Day Of School!!!!

Reese is officially a First Grader! She is so excited to be back in school, actually she's not, but I am!!!! I have been waiting for this wonderful day for about a month!!

As you can tell in the pictures, Ashlee is VERY upset that Reese is going on the bus and she is not. She starts school on the 25th...

YMCA 5K

So, this morning I woke up at 5:30am to get ready to run the YMCA 5k. It was super humid this morning! Sweat was seriously pouring down my face (gross, huh?) Well, my time was 33:46. Not bad, but I was hoping to do under 3o minutes (I'm blaming it on the grossness of this morning). I am running another 5k next week, a 10k in Sept and the 1/2 marathon in Oct.

Hayden's 6 1/2 months old!

She is VERY LOUD! She LOVES to hear herself scream! Hayden is sitting up, but you really never get to see very much of it because she is constantly on the move. She prefers the army crawl because she can move twice as fast on the wood floors. I really think that this little girl will be running before she can walk!

Ashlee thought that Kailyn really needed layers in her hair, so she cut it.

I am SO MAD!!!! Kailyn has NEVER had her haircut, I thought her little curls at the end were cute. But now, half of them are gone so she'll be getting a short little bob.

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Kailyn decided that she was going to be nice and share her Chocolate Ice Cream with Hayden. Well, turns out that Hayden REALLY likes Ice Cream! She had a fit until Brian fed her more...

Daddy, your a Pirate!

Tuesday night Brian had an accident. A BIG accident. His drill fell on his face, broke his eye socket, hemorrhaged his eye and gave him 7 stitches!
