29

Today I turned 29. And I actually feel really good about it. I'm excited for 29, its not 30 and it makes me feel a little more like a grown up. I don't feel good about being a mother to a 10 year old in 2 days. Its not that it makes me feel old, but that she is getting older and it really makes me sad that my Ree growing up. Being 29 also means that I have been with Brian for 11 years and he has seen me grow up, sortof...

Goals for 29

Run the half marathon again
Actually finish craft projects (sewing is my biggest finishing fail)
Stay calm, because being stressed out causes wrinkles and thats a bad thing
Make sure the people I love know I love them
To be more spiritual

Not alot of goals, but I also have like 150 kids to raise and deal with. So not a lot of time for myself...

Jude

Meet Jude.

He was born October 24th at 6:01 am.

He was 7lbs 14oz and 21 1/4 in long.

His Birth Story:

I was admitted into triage around 7:30 pm contracting around 3-4 minutes apart. They checked me and I was only dilated to a 4. Something weird was going on with me because I had an irregular heartbeat, something that I've never had, and had to get an EKG. They decided to keep me around 10pm and sent me to a room. Got the epidural around midnight. After I got the epidural my blood pressure crashed. I was completely out of it and kept passing out and wanting to throw up. Brian said that I looked like death. He was scared, my nurse was kinda frantic. I ended up getting a shot of something and it brought my blood pressure back up. It really took forever to dilate to a 10. 5:30am came around and I started to push! He showed up 31 minutes later!

It is SO different having a boy! He is my everything! I seriously cannot stop kissing his little face!

fail

Still haven't had this baby yet. My body is being stupid. I have been in " labor" for about 2 weeks and nothing is happening. I'm tired! I don't want to be pregnant anymore. Tomorrow I get to go in and very a bunch of tests done. Biggest issue: making sure that he can fit coming out of me.

Happiest Time of the Year

School started back up again! I looked forward to this day all summer long! By the time August came I was ready to send them back. This has been a long summer for me, and I haven't enjoyed it. But I do really enjoy the kids in school. Reese is starting 4th grade this year. Ashlee is in 2nd and Kailyn started Kindergarten! That's 3 kids in school, all day long. And I love it. And my most difficult child (Hayden) starts preschool next week!!!! You have NO IDEA how EXCITING that is for me!

Nope, no tears were shed from me today, the Happiest Day of the Year deserves a party.

update

My fetal fibronectin test came back negative, so I won't be giving birth anytime in the next 2weeks. Which is awesome. Still on bedrest, which is not awesome. Also got put on some anxiety meds (Dr thinks it might help slow down the contractions). Guess he thinks I'm stressed out or something...

Pregnancy

I have never enjoyed being pregnant. I just don't like it, at all. I've never been one of those women that enjoy bringing life into this world. That gene must have passed over me. I don't enjoy my face stuck in the toilet 10 times a day. Or the excessive amount of weight that my body takes on. I especially don't like the nastiness that just comes along with being pregnant. Whatever tolerance that I had with my other pregnancies is gone with this one.

This pregnancy has been horrible from the start. I was super sick all of the time. I couldn't keep anything down. When I was about 8 weeks along I started hemorrhaging. I went to triage because we thought that I was having another miscarriage. I had a tear in my uterus instead. I was put on a really strict bed rest for 5 weeks. The tear healed and shouldn't be a problem for the rest of the pregnancy.

The best thing about this pregnancy is that we are finally having our boy! I am so excited!

Around 26 weeks I started getting contractions. Not Braxton Hicks Contractions. Real starts in your back and wraps around the front contractions. My Doctor thought that I was starting to go into preterm labor, so he put me on bed rest. I have been on bed rest now for the past 24 days and have to be on it till I deliver. Today was another Dr's appt and things just got a little worse. I am still getting contractions and my cervix is nice and soft and starting to dilate. I had two ultrasounds, a stress test and a cervical exam today. Next week I get to go in for another test, cervical exam and a preterm labor test. I am now on "super" bed rest, and not thrilled at all. I am 29 weeks.

baby stats:
my baby boy is already 3lbs and in the 95th%

Yes, Please Pet Me!

It really amazes me how stupid people really are. Last week I was sitting in the back yard with Penelope. The trash working on my neighbors yard 2 doors down noticed her and starting asking me dumb questions about her (what type of dog she is, etc...) I thought that I did a good enough job giving them their answers, but obviously I didn't because they decided to walk on over to see her. Now my dogs have a HUGE problem with strange men (esp if the kids are around and Brian isn't home). They HATE them and try to rip them to shreds. So Penelope is having a giant growling snarling fit and is just about to eat threw her lead to get to them, the trash stops before coming into my yard and asks more stupid questions about her... My favorite question of the day: Does she bite? Can we pet her?

Bloody Hell

Yep, cause thats what it feels like here in good ole' Evansville IN. A big steaming pile of Hell. I officially hate the summer. I hate it. It's hot gosh darnit!  I wish it was fall... I love the fall, so pretty...
Right now almost all of Southern Indiana is in a Excessive Heat Warning. Which basically means it's so hot you could die. AND it's going to continue to be hot and nasty for the next MONTH! We also haven't had any rain in like forever, so the river behind our house is starting to stink and soon the city water is going to taste and smell like crap.

This is our backyard. The grass that Brian worked so hard to put in is completely dead. Which is now an excuse to put in an irrigation system and sod the backyard. So actually the dead dried up grass is now a good thing..

Penelope

After the "tragic" (ahem) death of Petunia, we got a replacement. Her name is Penelope! She actually comes from the same place as Ozzy and Petunia. She's cute. (Not so cute when she's eating my kitchen table) She's a puppy. She doesn't shut up. She's a Jack Russell. She's the girls dog. We love her.

It's a Boy!

Baby number 6 is a boy! I just assumed that number 6 would be another girl. To be honest,  I am completely freaked out about having a boy. I don't know what to do with a boy!

Here's the proof if you don't believe me...
See! It has boy parts!

Baby Stats:
This is already one big baby! He is in the 95% for his size. Which is scary because I might just give birth to a 10 pound baby.

catching up....

It's been forever since I actually sat down to blog. Believe me, you haven't really missed anything. So here is an update!

Brian: Working as usual and trying to finish up with school. Work is going so well, that I will most likely never move from Evansville Indiana. (sigh...)

Me: Same old me... I'll be 29 this year. (gag!)

Reese: (9) Emotional and enjoying life. She is starting to get out of the "little kid" stage and looking more and more like a "big kid". She has definitely taken her dad's height! Her legs are super long (I'm super jealous) and she comes to my shoulder. She's going to be taller than me and I just have to accept it.

Ashlee:(6) Always happy but also starting to get a little emotional. Recently had a haircut and chopped off a whopping 7 in... but still managed to keep the long hair. She talks all of the time, won't stop...ever. She's going to be 7 in May and I don't like it..

Kailyn: (5) Is getting ready for Kindergarten this fall. She is super excited! It's all she talks about. (I'm super excited too) Is in love with a little boy named Brody, but he's not her boyfriend. Currently in swimming lessons and somewhat loving it. Hates going near the diving board.

Hayden:(3) What to say about this child? Hayden drives me crazy. She is stubborn and wants to do things her way. She potty trained HER SELF right before Christmas. Is also a little obsessed over Barbie movies and jumping on the trampoline. Currently in Swimming Lessons and loving it. Loves jumping off the diving board.

Tatum: (17mo) Has been walking and talking for forever. Going to be 18mo in a couple of weeks. She has also betrayed me and now loves her dad more than me. (traitor) But she's super cute and it's hard to stay mad at her

Animals: Still have the cat (fufu) and now only one dog (ozzy). Petunia was hit by a car behind our house back in January (day before Hayden's birthday) It was a super sad day. The girls were completely devastated! Not sure who cried the hardest, the girls for the loss of their puppy or me because of the sadness that they all felt. Still, she was a really stupid dog...

House/misc: We have a brand new bathroom on the first floor! No more ugly green and black tile! All gone! Currently in the beginning stages of a getting new kitchen! SO SO EXCITED! But I'm not going to tell you anymore because it's a secret and I'm not going to spoil it. Just have to wait.
Got a new Suburban and I freaking love it.

Would post pictures but then would have to acknowledge that I am a bad mom and haven't taken any. Since it's spring break, I might just do some... But don't hold your breath cause it probably won't happen!
