March for Babies

On Saturday I took Kailyn and Ashlee to walk in the March for Babies (formally known as the Walk of Dimes). The weather was absolutly wonderful! The walk started behind my house at Sunset Park and then ventured downtown and then along the river back to Sunset Park. It was a HUGE turnout and they raised lots of money for the foundation!

Flashback Friday.... Gas Prices

Remember when gas prices were that low? Wasn't that great?! Today I got gas for $3.63. That really sucks, and it may even get higher. Well, I am really glad that we traded in our Expedition (only got 13 mpg) for a van...

Oops

Kailyn fell off my bed onto the hardwood floors and landed on her face.

The Bird....

Early this morning, around 3:00 am, we woke up to Reese screaming. This wasn't like her normal scream, this sounded as if someone was trying to kill her. So she runs down the hallway (screaming) into our room (still screaming) jumps on top of me (screaming) and tells me that there is a bird in her room...

So Brian gets out of bed to take a look, there was a little bird flying all around her room. Ash was sitting up in bed not really knowing what to think and Kailyn slept through the entire thing. Right now all three girls are sleeping in the same room because the other bedrooms have leaking issues. The house has five bedrooms and we can only use 2 of them.... Anyways, the bird came down the chiminy into the fireplace that is in Reese's room.

So we take the girls out of the room find the Stupid Cat, throw him in there thinking that maybe he will take care of the bird issue and then go back to bed. Well the girls ended up in our bed. It was horrible! It's a king size bed and all three girls had to sleep on top of me! Morning comes, the cat didn't do his job so Brian had to get rid of the bird.

This is my good for nothing stupid cat Fufanu

A Classic Kirstin....

For all of those that know me really well, know that I am actually an idiot. I get confused, will believe anything that you tell me and fall down and bump into walls alot.

The other day while I was trying to herd all of the monsters outside to leave, I left my keys on the counter and shut the locked door. I was locked out of my house and my van. I search for my phone (I'm surprised that it wasn't inside) call Brian and tell him that I locked myself out. I could hear him roll his eyes over the phone. He wasn't really surprised either. Well turns out that Brian can't come home because he was in Haubstadt for a meeting. So he tells me to find a window to break in. I find a window (all of our windows are about 5 ft off of the ground) put a slit in the screen, pop it out and push up the window. Then I have to chase after Reese to thow her in the window. During this time Reese is screaming at me at the top of her lungs saying that she is so mad at me for making her do this blah blah blah. So I grab her, arms and legs kicking, throw her into the window and tell her to open the door. She gives me a dirty look and starts walking the opposite way. So I scream at her. Then I hear someone laughing behind me.... The mail lady is laughing hysterically. She saw the entire thing and tells me that she feels for me. Well Reese FINALLY opens the freaking door, I get my keys and we leave to have a new adventure at Walmart and Sam's Club.

Pictures of my problem...

This is my piece of crap house. Please acknowlegde the HUGE size of it. I know. It's really ugly. But now that it is falling apart even more, we are completely redoing the outside in a couple of weeks.

(The house is not sinking.... I don't know how to take pictures)
This is the problem, see the crushed metal. That is not a good thing...

Nice close up of the top of the poarch falling down.

This is the support thing that Brian made.

We have a problem.... another one

This morning around 4:30 am, we woke up to our house shaking violently. We had an Earthquake! A 5.2 Earthquake! With all of the shaking and twisting that the house was doing, I thought that the house was going to fall in, which really is a possibility. As soon as it finished, Brian and I got up to check the house for cracks or any other type of damage, didn't see anything so we went back to bed.

After Brian was ready for work, we went outside to check for damage, we checked the back, the chimney (we were really worried about that) and ventured to the front of the house.... OH MY GOSH. The middle column that is holding up the balcony on our front porch is twisted, crushed and leaning towards my big bay windows. The balcony is sagging about 6 inches lower than what it should. The front of my house is falling off.

Now this is a really really BIG issue. If it does fall, three stories is going to come down and I won't have a house! Well, Brian called State Farm and put our claim in. I really hope that we don't have any issues with the claim. This needs to get fixed immediately! Brian is going to get some wood so he can brace the column, mainly so the house doesn't fall and kill us while we are sleeping.

I really think that this house hates us and wants to be destroyed. From floods to the leaks and now a crumbling support column, I think that it has made it's point...

Trip to the Zoo!!

Yesterday Reese had a Field Trip to the Mesker Park Zoo. I was actually able to find a babysitter for the other girls so I could with her. When we got there, she could not stop running. She was so excited about seeing all of the animals we had to run to every exhibit! The only downside of the Zoo was that her eyes were itchy. But other than that it was great!
Since Evansville is the nastiest place in the world for allergies, Reese has had a really bad case of Hay Fever for the past 2 weeks. I have been pumping her up with Claritan and it really hasn't made any big improvements. I just switched her to Zyrtec last night, hopefully it will work.

Flashback Friday... Prom 2002

So I decided to copy my friend Adrienne's idea about doing flashback Friday's. It's a good idea, she can't keep all of the good ideas! HA! So since it is prom season, I decided to add ours...

This is the only picture out of a hundred that I could find (I know, it's scratched. I don't know how it happened). I'm actually really not that tall, I was standing on a block and I had really tall flip flops on.

I'm back...finally!

As you can tell, I haven't put anything up on the blog. Remember a while back when I said that Ashlee dumped water all over the laptop? Well it has finally died. So after a week of waiting for insight to come and make sure that my house is actually a house, they came and set it up today! I am so excited!!!
