Trip to the Zoo!!

Yesterday Reese had a Field Trip to the Mesker Park Zoo. I was actually able to find a babysitter for the other girls so I could with her. When we got there, she could not stop running. She was so excited about seeing all of the animals we had to run to every exhibit! The only downside of the Zoo was that her eyes were itchy. But other than that it was great!
Since Evansville is the nastiest place in the world for allergies, Reese has had a really bad case of Hay Fever for the past 2 weeks. I have been pumping her up with Claritan and it really hasn't made any big improvements. I just switched her to Zyrtec last night, hopefully it will work.

Flashback Friday... Prom 2002

So I decided to copy my friend Adrienne's idea about doing flashback Friday's. It's a good idea, she can't keep all of the good ideas! HA! So since it is prom season, I decided to add ours...

This is the only picture out of a hundred that I could find (I know, it's scratched. I don't know how it happened). I'm actually really not that tall, I was standing on a block and I had really tall flip flops on.

I'm back...finally!

As you can tell, I haven't put anything up on the blog. Remember a while back when I said that Ashlee dumped water all over the laptop? Well it has finally died. So after a week of waiting for insight to come and make sure that my house is actually a house, they came and set it up today! I am so excited!!!

Could things really get any worse?

Could things really get any worse? I asked my mom this very question yesterday. Yesterday was a very very bad day. And yes things really did get worse...

Tuesday morning we woke up to rain pouring in to our house. The attic is leaking, my closet is leaking ( we're not living in the master bed room yet, so it wasn't really a problem), girls bathroom window is leaking (which causes the ceiling in the pantry to DRIP!) Oh, and Ashlee's bedroom window is also leaking (she's not in there yet...) We knew about half of the leaking problems when we bought the house, so it wasn't a big surprise.

Brian goes to work and leaves me to handle our problem.

In the meantime, Kailyn is really sick and won't stop crying. She keeps jamming her finger into her ear... Our insurance changed so I have to pull out the paper work about doctors, pick one that is on the list and make an appointment.

Our appointment is at 1:00 so that means I have to try to juggle around Reese's school. Brian can't do anything because he is in meetings all day. So I become a bad parent and don't take Reese to school.

We get at the doctors and we end up waiting there for about an hour just so they can tell me that they don't take my insurance anymore... What you don't understand is that NO ONE TAKES OUR INSURANCE!!!!!! So we leave, and I have a screaming fit in the van. I end up calling our insurance people and make them find me a doctor that actually takes out stupid insurance.

I call the doctor, leave a message for them to call me so I can make an appointment. They don't call me back right away. So I decide to take Kailyn to urgent care. As I was walking into UC the doctors office finally calls me back, I make an appointment, not really noticing that the appointment is in 20 minutes.

This is the best part of my bad day......
While I was on the phone, I backed into a boat hitch that was attached to an F150 and broke my freaking tailight. Yeah, it's shattered. And all I can think about is how much Brian is going to want to kill me.... I have a history of breaking things, well that's what he thinks....

Well, we get to the doctors, and while I am filling out the paper work, Ashlee pee's her pants right in front of me. Doesn't even tell me that she has to pee... So now I have to deal with her. I check my bag and of course I don't have anything in there for her.

So we wait about another hour just so the doctor can tell me that Kailyn has an ear infection.

By the time we leave the doctors it's 5:30. I still have to go to Walmart because we are supposed to be leaving the next morning for Brian's meeting in Ohio.

I just go home, I don't really want to deal with anything else for the rest of the day....

Around 10:30 pm, Brian goes down into our creepy basement just to check it out.... Part of our basement is covered with at least 8 inches of freaking water!!!!! The furnace and the waterheater are sitting right in the middle of it...

So, off to work we go pumping out the water....

We finally finish around 2:00 am, go to bed and get up at 5:00 am so we can be on the road by 6 am.

And just to top my wonderful day, Reese wakes up about 5:30 am tells me that she is sick and then barfs all over the floor and my leg.

We still left on time for Brian's meeting...

I hate moving....

I hate moving. I really do. I hate packing and unpacking. I hate trying to figure out where to put things. And I hate the stress that it causes. It has to be one of the worst things that can happen to someone. I should be used to it, I have moved about ten times since we've been married (5 years). So, we moved on Saturday. I really think that we chose the worst day to move. It snowed about 4in the night before. Some of you might say: "4 inches, big deal that's not bad" Well down here in good ol' Evansville it is. There really not used to having snow, so when it does snow it is a nightmare.

See this, this is a gouge that my dear lovely husband (piece of crap) put in my antique piano.

Karma's a butt. Brian scratched his floor while moving the paino in.

I hate moving....

So we moved on Saturday. I think that we really chose the worst possible day to do it.

So we moved in on Saturday. We chose the worst day to move, it snowed about 4 in the night before. Some of you might think that 4in of snow isn't a big deal. I don't think that it is, but down here in good ol' Evansville 4in of snow is a nightmare. So, with that being said it made the move interesting......

Call me Slacker...

I know, I'm a Slacker. But I have a really great excuse... I am way too busy with this whole house thing. We move in TWO days, and still have a ton of stuff to do. I want to curl up in a ball and just sleep for the next three weeks.

Well this post sucks and I'm really not into it either...

Emergency Room Visit.....

So, last night the girls were in the dining room playing with a half deflated air mattress, they were bouncing each other off of it having a good 'ole time. They were have such a great time that their laughter caused a reaction in Brian's head, and he ran right over to play with them. So they continue to bounce each other of the half deflated air mattress. Brian bounces each girl up, they come down giggling and screaming for more. Well it was Ashlee's turn again. Somehow, instead of coming down back on to the air mattress, she was thrown about 8 feet to the other side of the room on to the floor.... She started screaming, I checked to see if her shoulder popped out and for broken arms, they were fine. I tried to get her to raise her arm up over her head and she go only do it half way up and then starts screaming in pain. Brian (the King of Broken Bones) thinks that it is her collar bone....

Brian's right, it was her collar bone.

She was such a good little girl while we were there. While in triage, there was a women that was screaming in pain, and Ashlee says " She's a baby, she's crying. I'm broke and I'm a big girl and I'm not crying."

She had to get x-rays done and for each picture she said "Cheese". The hospital gave us a copy of the x-ray, that bone is snapped.

She has to wear this for the next 2 weeks. I feel so bad, she is in so much pain when she moves and there really isn't anything that I can do for her except just keep her comfortable.

still working hard....

This is how the floors turned out after Brian finished sanding them. I personally think that they look really good.
Ashlee did most of the work....
Isn't she the cutest?
Brian got a little carried away with the stairs....
So, things are still going... I think that it might be faster if Brian would stop breaking things... HA
