Oh Christmas Tree...

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, How very HUGE you are!

We decided to get our first real Christmas Tree this year, we usually have a fake one up, but real ones are just so much better! So on Friday we took the Family to Goebel Farms to pick one out. The girls were so excited about finding the perfect Christmas Tree on the way to the farm, but quickly lost any interest in anything that had to do with a tree about 5 minutes after we got there.

So, this is what Brian and I came up with... A giant 10ft Frasier Fir. I love this Tree, it smells so nice and Christmasy! Hopefully, it doesn't die anytime soon... The only thing that bothers me with this tree, is that my tree skirt doesn't fit around the base of the tree stand, one more thing on my list to sew!

Evansville Holiday Parade

Over the weekend we went to the Evansville Holiday Parade. It wasn't that bad, the girls had a great time and got a ton of candy. The best part of the parade is when Baby Bop attacked Reese... and of course seeing Santa!

Cheesecake Chimichangas

I've been experimenting with desserts lately and I found this! It is wonderful! But not to light on the calories....

Ingredients

10-12 flour tortillas (6 1/2 inch)
16 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
6 tablespoons flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (20 ounce) apple pie filling, drained very well
1/2 cup almond toffee pieces
Cinnamon sugar
1/2 cup sugar, and
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon, mixed very well
vanilla ice cream
caramel topping

Directions

1. Beat cream cheese until fluffy; add sugar and eggs, then beat again.
2. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
3. Fold toffee bits and apple pieces into cheese mixture.
4. On tortilla, place a serving in the middle, about 2 1/2 inches from each side of shell.
5. Tuck sides in slightly and roll shell to seal the filling and hold in the cream cheese.
6. When all shells have been stuffed and rolled, place in refrigerator; chill to set filling.
7. In deep fryer heat vegetable oil.
8. When ready, place chimicheesecake in oil and fry until slightly golden, while carefully turning on each side.
9. Remove from oil.
10. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
11. Place chimicheesecake on cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
12. Remove from oven and liberally sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.
13. Serve cheesecake slightly warm with a scoop of ice cream and carmel topping drizzled on top.

The cow says....MOO (baby update)

This is the Baby Belly at just about 30 wks. Yes, I know, I'm huge. (Reese took the picture, she did a good job)

So I had a Doctor's Appt this morning, I am officailly considered a "High Risk Pregnancy". (Hurray for me!) The baby is huge and I have been having lots of contractions. The baby is in the 90% right now and will most likely be WAY over 9 lbs when she is born. The doctor is concerned about her size, so now I get to have Ultrasounds with every doctors appt until I give birth. About the contractions: I am "supposed" to stay off my feet laying down for most of the day, because when I move or walk around too much the contractions start up and last for a couple hours and then I feel like I am going to into labor.
Other than that, the baby is fine and healthy, there is no problem with her. Just that she is a cow...

Brian's Pumpkin

Brian's Immaturity at it's best....

This really isn't a shocker, I really did expect this to happen. It is just another thing to add to the 'Stupid Things Brian Does List'. This was Reese's Pumpkin. Brian filled it with dead leaves and grass and poured gasoline in it and lit it on fire. Things like this happen alot in our family. Brian is kind of a pyro (You should ask his Mom about it, she's SO proud!) This type of stuff has been going on for the past 7 years, so I am used to it.
This is my favorite part, the gas in the pumpkin spilled out onto the driveway. (Yep, in the driveway about 7ft away from Brian's vehicle and our house.)
No more pumpkin

Trick or Treat!!

Last night we Trick or Treated around our neighborhood. It was so much fun! They girls were great. I didn't do to well, walking just isn't my thing right now... After about three hours of Trick or Treating (pain) we headed back to our house and had some chili with the Higgins.
