Home Sweet Hospital...

Ever since I've had Hayden I haven't been feeling all that great. My body never really recovered and I was having "issues" with certain things in my body. So last Thursday I was feeling extra horrible and I took my temp and it was around 101 degrees and my "issues" were getting worse. So I call my Doctor and I am sent to Triage. This is actually the 4th time I've been to Triage in the past 4 weeks.

Turns out I had a REALLY severe Uterine infection. During the delivery, pieces of the placenta remained in my uterus and caused the infection. I had an ultrasound and you could actually see it! They put me on two different types of antibiotics through an IV (can't nurse the baby because of it) and let me know that I might have to go into surgery the next day. On Friday my doctors comes in and lets me know that I will be having surgery at 3pm and have to be on the antibiotics for the next 50 hours. That means I get to spend another 4 days in the Hospital. Since Hayden has been alive, I have been in the Hospital for a total of 9 days and she is 2 weeks old...

They surgery went well, my doctor couldn't believe how infected I actually was! Hopefully they were able to remove all of the infection. Because of the infection and the surgery that I had to go through, we don't know how bad or if there will be any scarring in my uterus. That means we don't really know if we will be able to have another baby. Hopefully, there won't be any scarring so Brian can have his Boy. But that isn't going to happen for a long long time.

So I am home now, I came home Sunday afternoon. I would really like to be able to stay home and not ever have to go into the hospital again. I still don't feel back to normal yet, I have to be on antibiotics for the next 2 weeks and I am still in some pain. I really feel bad for what Brian had to go through. He was really stressed out while I was sick. He had to deal with a newborn and 3 angry girls by himself. It just really wasn't a good time for anyone. I am really thankful for my wonderful neighbors (thanks Stephanie!!!), they helped out so much! I don't know what we would of done without them.
