Could things really get any worse? I asked my mom this very question yesterday. Yesterday was a very very bad day. And yes things really did get worse...
Tuesday morning we woke up to rain pouring in to our house. The attic is leaking, my closet is leaking ( we're not living in the master bed room yet, so it wasn't really a problem), girls bathroom window is leaking (which causes the ceiling in the pantry to DRIP!) Oh, and Ashlee's bedroom window is also leaking (she's not in there yet...) We knew about half of the leaking problems when we bought the house, so it wasn't a big surprise.
Brian goes to work and leaves me to handle our problem.
In the meantime, Kailyn is really sick and won't stop crying. She keeps jamming her finger into her ear... Our insurance changed so I have to pull out the paper work about doctors, pick one that is on the list and make an appointment.
Our appointment is at 1:00 so that means I have to try to juggle around Reese's school. Brian can't do anything because he is in meetings all day. So I become a bad parent and don't take Reese to school.
We get at the doctors and we end up waiting there for about an hour just so they can tell me that they don't take my insurance anymore... What you don't understand is that NO ONE TAKES OUR INSURANCE!!!!!! So we leave, and I have a screaming fit in the van. I end up calling our insurance people and make them find me a doctor that actually takes out stupid insurance.
I call the doctor, leave a message for them to call me so I can make an appointment. They don't call me back right away. So I decide to take Kailyn to urgent care. As I was walking into UC the doctors office finally calls me back, I make an appointment, not really noticing that the appointment is in 20 minutes.
This is the best part of my bad day......
While I was on the phone, I backed into a boat hitch that was attached to an F150 and broke my freaking tailight. Yeah, it's shattered. And all I can think about is how much Brian is going to want to kill me.... I have a history of breaking things, well that's what he thinks....
Well, we get to the doctors, and while I am filling out the paper work, Ashlee pee's her pants right in front of me. Doesn't even tell me that she has to pee... So now I have to deal with her. I check my bag and of course I don't have anything in there for her.
So we wait about another hour just so the doctor can tell me that Kailyn has an ear infection.
By the time we leave the doctors it's 5:30. I still have to go to Walmart because we are supposed to be leaving the next morning for Brian's meeting in Ohio.
I just go home, I don't really want to deal with anything else for the rest of the day....
Around 10:30 pm, Brian goes down into our creepy basement just to check it out.... Part of our basement is covered with at least 8 inches of freaking water!!!!! The furnace and the waterheater are sitting right in the middle of it...
So, off to work we go pumping out the water....
We finally finish around 2:00 am, go to bed and get up at 5:00 am so we can be on the road by 6 am.
And just to top my wonderful day, Reese wakes up about 5:30 am tells me that she is sick and then barfs all over the floor and my leg.
We still left on time for Brian's meeting...

Wow, what a day. Next time just stay in bed:)! Its weird how it seems like when it rains it poors. One thing goes wrong and then the whole day follows. Ususlly it is the same way though on a good day. When i have days like that just think "this too will pass". Its a quote from the movie my best friends wedding. Love ya & wish we lived closer.
Kirstin! That is no good! I wish we lived closer! You know someday, probably WAY in the future, you'll laugh about all this. Just think of the awesome stories you'll have to tell when you're older!
Ok, you win the worst day ever award. I will never complain about my life again.
