Baked Beans

In Ashlee's Pre-K class, the kids were asked what their favorite food was and how it was prepared. This is Ashlee's Answer:

Baked Beans

"Mommy heats up oil in them. Some milk and chicken and Pepsi. That is it. Then she puts it in the oven. Sometimes she puts it in the microwave and the oven. Temperature is 4 and she cooks it five minutes. My dad makes fruit cakes. We have fruit cake with our beans. I like fruit cake. That's all!!"

So I guess her favorite food is Baked Beans! Which actually really funny because I don't think that I have EVER made Baked Beans before because they are disgusting. I've also never seen Brian make a "fruit cake", maybe he's doing it while I'm at school. I think that everyone should really try her recipe because it sounds yummy!

Dear Jesus...

Ashlee seriously is really the funniest kid ever! Here is a conversation that I had with her last night...

{Ash} Mommy, can I have a drink of your pop?

{Me} No

{Ash} Why not?!

{Me} Because I don't want to share!!! ( just playing around with her)

{Ash} I'm telling Jesus!

"Dear Jesus, Please tell Mommy that she has to share her pop with me! Amen"

{Ash} (Really deep voice) KIRSTIN, you need to share your pop with Ashlee!!!!

{Ash} See, he said you have to share!

I know, I've been slacking on the blog and now it has become a boring blog. I have plans to get to it, but I just haven't gotten around to it...

I turn 26 on Wednesday. I have been dreading this day for the past couple of months. I am getting old. 26 just seems so old to me! I can't be 26. High School still doesn't seem that far away and now my life is just speeding up faster and faster every year. I am getting old. My once perfect tight size 0 body now shows the signs of having given birth to 4 kids and not to mention having nursed every single one of them. (Nursing does it own special magic on your boobs) I look in the mirror and see WRINKLES underneath my eyes. They ARE there and I see them. 26 is old. I'm no longer going to be in my early twenties but in my late twenties, which is just another way to say "almost 30". Reese will be 7 on Friday. I am going to have a 7 year old! It scares me that she is growing up so fast, it scares me that I did grow up.

Hi, My Name is Kirstin & I have an Addiction

Yes, I have an addiction. It's called "Antiques" I love Antiques! I spend way to much time at anitque stores and spend way to much money on them. And yes I do bring all of my kids with me. This little baby here is my latest purchase. I bought it today from an Antique Store and paid only $13 dollars for it. So after doing some research on this, I found that it was made in 1868 and worth a whole lot more than $13!!!!!!! It is a CFH (Charles Field Haviland). Isn't that cool! I love my addiction!

My awesome week...

This week has been "awesome"...



On Wednesday my house caught on fire. Well not really, we had a chimney fire and the fire department showed up so that was nice. Now we don't have any heat in the back part of the house ( the kitchen and the family room)... (the furnaces are connected to the chimney...) So now we are waiting for someone to come and take a look at it so we can use it again. But it is cold in the kitchen and the computer is in the kitchen and I am cold right now...

And then Thursday night my darling first born threw a shoe at a window that was about 100 yrs old and BROKE IT! Brian and I just started laughing! Of course she broke the window!! So far the past months have been HORRIBLE!!! (not for me for Brian, work stuff) And all we can do now is just laugh!
